Description

This solo variant is inspired by the one in It's a Wonderful World and is for the base game only.

Setup:

Shuffle all the character cards, draw one, place it as the base of your pyramid, and collect the level one bonus of that card. Then deal 5 stacks of 5 character cards to the side of the play area. Shuffle then deal three decree cards (these are the only decree cards you'll receive for the play). Finally, take one of each gem (red, blue, green, yellow) for your initial supply.

Each round:
  1. Draft Phase Take one of the 5-card stacks into your hand. Choose any to add to your hand permanently. For each card not chosen, take a gem matching the color of the gem on the bottom edge of the card. Then discard those cards.
  2. Develop Phase Add any cards from your hand to your pyramid following normal rules. You may develop as many cards as you have resources. Each level has a limit. Level One - 5 cards, level two - 4 cards, level three - 3 cards, level four - 2 cards, and level five - 1 card (which must be a character card). When the level five card is placed, the game ends.
End Game Scoring:

Scoring follows normal rules with two exceptions: swords and shields score 4 points each, and you lose 2 points for each gem and card left in your supply/hand. If you complete the pyramid on the fourth round, the last stack of 5 cards do not count against your score.
