Description

You will set up the game as usual giving yourself one sheet, a writing tool, and after shuffling the deck, deal yourself 9 cards.

Then, as mentioned on page 11 of the rulebook, you will utilize the "Special 2-3 Player Rules" from the rulebook with some additions.

At the beginning of each "Bout" you will flip one card face up into a row and deal two more cards face down for the solo mode. You will then decide which card you want to play from your hand down into that row of cards and reveal all cards to determine the strength of the card you played in that bout.

As in a regular game, once you determine if you played the highest, lowest or middle valued card of that bout, you will then place that card value in the top, middle or bottom section of your player sheet following regular rules or exceptions.

You will continue through seven bouts as usual and keep two cards from your original nine card hand to save for the end game where you attempt to score the highest poker hand. Unlike the multiplayer variant, you will not score five points for determining if you have the "best poker hand at the table", instead you will just try to score the highest poker hand you possibly can from the six cards you have left over after three rounds of play.
